政策科学研究部

研究部紹介

政策科学研究部は、成育医療・保健に関連する情報を収集し分析することで、健全な次世代育成に資する政策提言・情報発信・研究活動を行っています。


研究内容

当研究部の四つの研究の柱を紹介します。

一つ目の研究の柱は、政策に関する理論的研究です。政策策定と評価に関する枠組み、すなわち、根拠に基づく政策の理論的背景やその適用に関する研究を行っています。これには、倫理・政治学など社会科学的側面における評価も含まれます。またグローバルヘルスに関して取り組んでいるチームもいます。

二つ目の柱は、研究統合的研究です。当研究部は日本で唯一のコクラン共同計画の正式組織であるコクラン妊娠出産グループ日本支部があり、そこで妊娠出産だけではなく全分野の系統的レビューを行うとともに作成支援も行っています。また、世界保健機関の周産期分野のガイドラインのプロジェクトマネージメントや系統的レビュー作成など技術的支援も行っています。また、費用対効果分析なども行っています。

三つ目の柱は、一次および二次データ研究です。小児慢性特定疾患登録事業の事務局として、データベースの策定と分析の技術的支援、新生児医療疾病登録(国際共同研究)や妊娠合併症疾病登録にも関わっています。日本における妊産婦のメンタルヘルスに関する縦断研究、モンゴル出生縦断研究、慢性疾患児のWellbeingに関する横断研究といった政策に資する疫学フィールド研究も行っています。また、レコードリンケージのような技術を使って、人口動態統計など政府統計を使用したデータ分析研究も行い、二回のWHO周産期全世界調査では日本の代表として貢献しています。

四つ目の柱は、政策介入研究です。以下の介入研究を行っています。

  • 新生児医療における診療の質向上クラスターランダム化比較試験
  • モンゴルにおける母子健康手帳クラスターランダム化比較試験
  • バングラデッシュにおける地域活性と施設マネージメント強化クラスターランダム化比較試験
